We give thanks to a generous Creator
for food in plenty, people to prepare and share it,
and reasons to rejoice in love and hope. Amen

For the ability to enjoy varied and delicious meals,
for the provision made for all our needs,
for the reminders of how much we are given,
we honour the giver, and return our thanks and praise. Amen

I like food, and eating with friends,
I enjoy being warm, and secure from all danger;
Father, feed my gratitude and warm my sympathy,
that what I am gifted may be shared with love. Amen

Food gives me warmth and energy,
but as I recognise the meal is the Father’s gift,
may the energy be used in the Father’s service,
and the warmth reach out to his other children. Amen
